Review by hotel critic
I recently had the chance to stay at Hilton Garden Inn during a corporate retreat, and it turned out to be a solid choice for our team's needs. As someone from Mumbai, I appreciated the hotel's convenient location, just a short 20-minute drive to downtown Austin and surprisingly close to major corporate offices like IBM and Cisco Systems. The meeting spaces were quite functional, with 1,300 square feet accommodating our group comfortably. What really surprised me was how friendly and helpful the staff were, especially during our check-in, given the simultaneous rush due to SXSW. They kept us informed, which proved invaluable for our planning. The lobby was spacious, featuring a guitar that set a relaxed vibe, and the breakfast had an excellent range of quality ingredients. I did find the oatmeal a tad too runny for my taste, but that’s a minor detail. The hotel offered the necessary amenities for remote work—free Wi-Fi, a business center, and a fitness center to keep up with my active lifestyle. For any professional looking for a productive stay, this place checks off all the boxes.
